This privacy notice explains how Nuisance.ie (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through this website. For any privacy question, or to exercise your data-protection rights, contact us at [email protected].

We act as the data controller for the information you submit through our enquiry form. We are based in Ireland and handle personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

We only collect the information you choose to give us through the enquiry form. This may include:

• your name and, if provided, your organisation;
• your email address and, if provided, your phone number;
• details about your enquiry — the nuisance type, county, site location, any planning reference, the service you are interested in, your description and stated urgency;
• the date and time you gave consent, and the wording you consented to.

We do not ask for special category data. Please do not include sensitive personal information, or details about identifiable third parties, in your free-text description unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

We use the details you submit only to assess your enquiry, respond to you, and — where you ask us to proceed — to scope and deliver the service you have requested. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give when you tick the consent box and submit the form. Where we go on to provide a service, we also rely on the performance of our agreement with you.

When you submit the form we send a confirmation to your email address and an internal notification to our team so we can respond. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us; withdrawing consent does not affect processing that has already taken place.

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal and business obligations. When the information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate this website and communicate with you (for example, our website hosting platform and our email-delivery provider), and only to the extent needed to provide the enquiry and reporting service. Where a specialist measurement or assessment is required, we would only involve a qualified partner with your knowledge and agreement.

This website is built and hosted on the Abacus.AI application platform. To function, each page loads a small JavaScript library from the platform provider, Abacus.AI (apps.abacus.ai/chatllm/appllm-lib.js). This script is a required part of the hosting platform rather than a marketing or advertising tracker.

When your browser requests this script — as with any file served over the internet — the provider’s servers necessarily receive standard technical request information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We do not use this platform script itself to build advertising profiles or to set marketing cookies on your device. Because the platform is operated by a third party, any technical data it receives is handled under that provider’s own terms. If you would prefer this script not to load, you can block third-party scripts in your browser; some site features may then not work as intended.

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. When you first arrive we show a cookie banner so you can choose what we may use:

• Strictly necessary. We store your cookie choice itself on your device so we do not ask you again on every visit. These are always on because the site cannot remember your preference without them, and they do not track you.
• Analytics (optional). Only if you select “Accept all” do we load Google Analytics, which uses cookies to give us anonymous, aggregated statistics about how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited) so we can improve it. If you reject them, these cookies are not set.

You can change your decision at any time by selecting Cookie preferences in the footer of any page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser. We do not use cookies for advertising.

Under data-protection law you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data;
• ask us to delete your data, or restrict or object to how we use it;
• withdraw consent at any time; and
• lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

We may update this notice from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
